The trebuchet group consists of Physics majors and History majors who are studying trebuchets from both historical and scientific standpoints. We have developed a computer simultation of the motion of a trebuchet arm and projectile and we have built a "replica" of a medieval trebuchet.
We meet on most Saturdaays to work on our machine. We also have started fundraising with our "Adopt a Pumpkin" drive.
This year the Ship Trebuchet will compete in the"2007 World Punkin Chunkin Championship" in Lewes Delaware on November 3rd.
