The World at Night

Boy, it sure is dark at night. That is, unless you live in a city. Big city lights are so bright that they can be seen by satellites in orbit around the Earth. Below are links to images of areas of the world at night produced by the US National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration. See if you can associate the bright spots on those images with the appropriate cities. To check your answer, just click on the bright spot. The name of the city will appear below. And don't worry, we'll leave a light on for you.
