There are several sites on the Web supported by NASA's
Learning Technologies Project (LTP) that offer
a number of programs to help students understand aeronautics and aviation.
- Check out Aero Design Team Online. You can follow
a supersonic transport wind tunnel test through the eyes of the
program manager. Follow in her journal as team members assemble their model, check out all of
the instruments on it, install it in the tunnel, and then test it. The site also includes
a teacher's lounge and a kid's corner.

- K-14 Aeronautics Projects - NASA has
entered into a number of cooperative agreements with industry and academic
institutions to develop Internet-based aeronautics educational materials.

- The LEGO Data Acquisition and Prototyping System (LDAPS)
is an interactive site written by teachers and students. Learn how to build your
own wind tunnel.

Wind tunnels are used in education and research. Check out the following site.
- To learn more about the design and operation of a boundary wind tunnel, check out the Center for Environmental Design, University of California at Berkeley. This wind tunnel is used by architectural students, researchers, and the architectural community.
