"The task is, not so much to see what no one has yet seen; but to think what nobody has yet thought, about that which everybody sees."
--Erwin Schrödinger

The American Institute of Physics offers quite a bit of information on current trends in physics, and the role physics can play in modern society. It is also home to a host of professional physics societies, many of which are listed below.

The AIP is also home to the Society of Physics Students, a group promoting the development and interests of students in the sciences - primarily Physics.

Other Sites of Interest

Here's a great site for astronomical images and links to other Astro sites. It's the SEDS WWW Site. By the way, SEDS stands for "Students for the Exploration and Development of Space."

The American Journal of Physics Home Page

IEEE Home Page (Electrical Engineering)

SPIE Home Page (Photonics - which means almost everything having to do with light.)
