Unlike the previous Webbase search, which processed the search
terms with the boolean "OR", this form searches with "AND". Thus, by adding
search terms, one is able to reduce the number of records returned,
narrowing the search to a manageable number of "hits" and (hopefully) the
most relevant records.
For an example of the difference, search here for Nationality, Career =
"English" and Means of Support, Primary = "Medicine". Compare
the resulting forty three returns with the number found by the old
full search form.
Also, this form is about sixteen times faster when searching single terms.
